Hotel 4 stelle Thalas Hotel, Torre dell'Orso
Opened in 2004, Hotel Thalas Club **** is located in the center of Torre dell’Orso is just 500 meters from the famous bay characterized by a broad beach of fine white sand sloping bottom and a crystalline sea.
It covers a flat area and is characterized by a series of terraced units and manicured gardens where they are inserted fully equipped rooms and a service area with swimming pools, fitness center and restaurant.
It is proposed that a club with numerous sport activities and entertainment for young and old.
Particular attention is given to children with baby club from one year of age to allow for a complete holiday with the maximum relaxation to parents.
The kitchen delights the palate with the flavors of local tradition and our beautiful country. Freedom of times with breakfast until 10.30 a.m. and a buffet for lunch and dinner.
THE SEA
The Bay of Torre dell’Orso is one of the most beautiful stretches of beach and famous in Salento. A wide expanse of white sand lapped by clear water and wedged between rocks, cliffs and dunes alternated by a fragrant Mediterranean vegetation and pine trees.
The stretch of coast between Otranto and Torre dell’Orso is a series of bays and beaches (free and equipped) that can reach even more sporty bike following the cycle path that runs along the entire stretch of coast.
The Bay of Torre dell’Orso, just 500 meters from the hotel, is equipped with the beaches and open areas with sunbeds and beach umbrellas available for hire (not booked). For hotel guests a shuttle service is available at scheduled times from 26 /05 to 15 /09 and the ability to reserve a beach umbrella and two chairs at a lido (optional service for a fee and with limited availability / exhaustion - you advisable to book before May 30, subject to availability).
ROOMS
The resort has 161 rooms located on the ground floor with patio or first floor with large terrace. They are divided into Classic, Family and brand new Superior and Junior Suite spacious and comfortable than the Classic.
All rooms have air conditioning with climate control, telephone, TV, minibar (empty, filled on request), safe box, hairdryer and shower.
Possibility of free connection (with your own computer) with wireless connection in Bar.
Classic rooms are spacious and tastefully furnished, all on the ground floor are double rooms with possibility of 3 extra beds, Superior rooms are all for 3 people the first floor or ground floor, are more spacious and comfortable than the Classic.
The Family rooms, ideal for families of 4 or 5 people, are composed of double bedroom and a small bedroom with French sofa bed . Most are on the first floor with large terrace.
Finally, the Junior Suite for 2/3 people, all on the ground floor with large patio, hot tub and outdoor shower extra.
The hotel has 6 Classic rooms and 1 family (ground floor) for persons with disabilities.
Particular attention is devoted to the cuisine where local flavors and national tradition dishes are expertly proposed.
THE RESTAURANT
The breakfast gives you a good morning with a great buffet of homemade cakes, fruit juice, toast, fruit and savory buffet. The bar inside the room, is available to guests for espresso, cappuccino, etc.. For late risers, from 10.00 to 10.30 a.m., Italian breakfast with coffee, juice and pastries.
Lunch and dinner are served buffet for appetizers/side dishes, pasta, dessert and fruit. Main courses are served at the table. Water and wine in a carafe of the house are included with meals.
The hotel has a restaurant and large terrace equipped with air conditioning.
Early Entrance to the restaurant for families with small children. Kids menu and high chair are available.
Possibility of cooking for celiacs (staple foods with extra charge). Tables are allocated on arrival.
EVENTS AND CONFERENCES
The resort is ideal for business lunches, conferences, meetings and events. It has a beautiful multi-purpose room that can be used both for meetings and congresses, and for events such as dance classes, demonstrations, exhibitions and competitions of various kinds.
The hall covers an area of 400 mq approx. for 350 seats in the stalls. Equipped with natural lighting and air conditioning, has within it a kitchen bar with a pastry area. Front of the hall, outdoor facilities for a short break or a relaxing drink outside.
For events, awards shows and also available covered amphitheater with a stage and seating in the single staircase with 200 seats.
SPORTS AND ENTERTAINMENT
Club card includes mandatory use of swimming pool with adjoining children’s pool and Jacuzzi, relaxation pool, fitness area, soccer field, tennis courts, beach volleyball, table tennis. From 26/05 to 15/09 animation with swimming lessons, under 14 years football, aerobics, boxing fit, gag, dancing group and the Caribbean, with cabaret shows, shows, karaoke, parties and games, baby, mini club and junior club, shuttle to/from the beach.
The children’s world
Clubs are at pre-arranged time. Ages to be considered approximate.
Baby club 1-2 years - a team of specialists will take care of small for 4 hours a day. Among the activities that will be proposed: acquatic course, specific games, entertainment and interaction during baby massage for mom and dad, diaper game.
Kids club 3-8 years - waking muscles, games and bathroom driven, manipulative and expressive arts workshops, theater workshops, baby dance every night, pizza parties in 1 week.
Young Club 9-18 years - the club is divided into two age groups and includes the involvement in a series of sports activities as well as participation in theater workshops and performances; nightclub after the show and tours (optional, or a fee) in the most beautiful beach clubs.
A payment service Baby Sitting outside the scheduled hours € 15.00 per hour.
