Alberobello is a town in Puglia, located between Gioia del Colle and Ostuni, a holiday destination for many tourists eager to visit the trulli houses that characterize the town of Alberobello. Alberobello is a UNESCO World Heritage appointed since 1996.
Alberobello was founded on two hills: on the east was built the new city, while on the West rise the trulli. The Trulli of Alberobello arose when the subjects were forced to build each new home with dry stone, and prohibited the use of mortar. From there it spread to the Trulli of Alberobello, thanks to the need to clear agricultural land from the numerous limestone them submerged.
